What a whirlwind the last few months have been! Engaged in August... a beautiful wedding in February... pregnant in March!
We found out that we were pregnant on March 25 - the feast of the Annunciation. Mary felt fear, trepidation, and joy at hearing Gabriel's announcement, but she was open to what God was calling her to. I am feeling the same way as well. I'm extremely excited to be a mommy, but I wouldn't be honest if I didn't admit that I'm a bit apprehensive as well. It's a scary thing bringing a child into this world; however, I know this is God's plan for us. We will tackle this new adventure with joy and gusto! We will welcome our new arrival sometime near the beginning of December.
I told my family when I went home for Easter. It was great to be able to tell them in person. My niece Clare's first response was, "Can I meet you at the hospital?" When I asked her for a name suggestion, she said, "Rebecca" - her middle name. :)
