Snow fun, part 3

Steve took a snow day on Monday which made Stephen very happy. He especially enjoyed getting to play in the snow for over an hour! They did some sledding, made a snowman, played on the swingset, walked in some deep drifts, watched geese, and threw some snowballs using the snowball blaster Stephen got for his birthday from Aunt Kathy and Uncle Grant. What fun!
Standing behind a big drift with a basketball, of course

Stephen let Daddy bury him in snow!

Snow fun, part 2

We had snowstorm #2 of the week on February 24. This one brought about 8" of snow with it. While it was coming down, I went out to collect some fresh snow, and we made snow ice cream. Stephen had fun helping stir everything together and especially enjoyed eating it! Paul even got to have a taste.

Yummy!

Delicious!
Then the boys got to play with some snow which they thought was great fun! Paul didn't seem to mind touching it. In fact, he ate it, making a face every time he took a bite. Stephen loved scooping the snow with a bulldozer and spooning it into a bowl.

Brrr! Cold!

Snow fun, part 1

We got a nice little snow on February 20. The boys and I went out to enjoy it the next day. Paul hung out in the sled while Stephen and I made a snowman. Stephen did a good job of helping me add snow to the snowman. We also went down and played on our swingset (which I will post about soon).

Stephen is crying because he didn't want to go inside.

"Snow" much fun!

We went out to enjoy the 2" of snow we got yesterday. Both boys were pretty cooperative about getting all bundled up. Stephen was excited to go see the "no." Paul's coat and snow pants are too big, but they should fit him all winter. Once outside, Paul loved riding in the sled, and Stephen enjoyed just walking around in the snow. After about 10 minutes, it was time to get my little boys inside. I bribed motivated Stephen with the idea of having hot chocolate. He'd never had it before but he knows chocolate is a good thing. It was a fun little outdoor jaunt.

He really did enjoy the sled ride.

Snow!

We have our first snow of the season. So not ready for that!
