8 months old

I At 8 months old, Theresa is such a happy baby. She loves watching her brothers play. She's also very attached to me and let's me know how upset she is when I try to sit her down and leave. No teeth yet. She gets around with a combination of an inchworm crawl and rolling. It's amazing how quickly this GDA her from one place to another. Theresa loves playing the "shake your head" game. She'll look at you, shake her head, and get a big smile on her face when you shake your head back. She eats pretty much anything you put in front of her. She loves picking up food to eat on her own. We love our Theresa Rose!

7 months old

Our darling Theresa Rose is 7 months old. She's becoming quite mobile by rolling and scooting on her back. She also gets up on her knees and toes. She'll be crawling soon!
No teeth yet but she enjoys eating avocado, peas, green beans, bananas, and shredded cheese. She also likes banana puffs.
Her sleep habits have remained mostly the same...napping in her car seat or in mommy's arms. At night she sleeps from about 7:30/8-6:30/7 waking up 1-2 times to eat.
She is a big fan of her brothers and loved when they make silly noises for her. She usually rewards them with smiles and giggles. She has a very cute giggle that we're hearing more and more.
She is still in 3-6 month clothing but is slowly growing.

Happy half-birthday!

WTheresa is 6 months old! She now weighs 13 lbs, 2 oz, continuing to be in the 5% range. She loves to smile and watch her brothers. She especially loves when her brothers play with her and rewards them with giggles. Theresa is a roller and a scooter. She scoots backward as she lays on her back. It's amazing how quickly she can travel. We enjoy listening to her "sing." The boys will take her pacifier out of her mouth so she can talk. Her first food was avocado. She seems to be a fan. No signs of any teeth yet. She's still not much of a napper unless I'm holding her. I do love getting to cuddle her. Her nighttime sleep is good though. She goes down around 7:30/8:00 and will wake up once or twice to eat and wake up for the morning around 6:30/7:00. We're loving our happy little girl.

A big boy

I finally buckled down and decided to get serious about potty training Stephen last week. He wasn't the most willing student but we persevered. Today he is on his 3rd full day of underwear. On Monday, we stayed home and he had 3 accidents. Yesterday we were out and about all morning and he stayed dry before and after nap. One accident this morning and he's been dry since nap. Stephen is much more excited about being a big boy now, and so am I! (Any advice for nap/nighttime training?)

4 months old

Gotta get this post up before she's 5 months old tomorrow.

Theresa Rose is a sweet and little 4 month old! At her 4 month appointment, she weighed 11 lbs, 1 oz which puts her at the 5th percentile on the growth chart. She is following her own growth curve so we're not worried about her. She loves playing with her feet, smiling at her brothers, holding onto her blue ball, sucking on her pacifier, making noise, and rolling over. She's still sleeping well at night, going from 8-2 or 3 and then waking up again 2-3 hours later. Naps are another story. She is the queen of the catnap, unless she's in her carseat. Then she'll sleep for a couple hours. Theresa really enjoys watching her big brothers play and gives them big smiles when they talk to her. Stephen is her biggest fan and gets really excited whenever she does anything. Paul likes her but still kinda keeps his distance. We love watching our little girl grow!

My Paul-Paul

There are so many things I want to remember about my Paul James at age 2 years, 3 months...

*his cute little voice. His language has just exploded over the past couple months. Some of my favorite words - Wheevin (Stephen), Reesa Rose (Theresa Rose), burnout, dragster, Wockies (Rockies),

*his giggle. It is so easy to get Paul to laugh.

*He counts "3, 6, 3, 6..."

*He calls himself Charlie Blackmon, an outfielder for the Rockies. Stephen started it and now if I call him Paul, Paul will say, "No, Charlie Blackmon!" Luckily, Blackmon is a good guy to have as a role model.

*He LOVES Stephen. They play together very well. They do have their fair share of fights which usually include biting and tackling, but overall, they are the best of pals.

*He seems to be as big of a sports fan as Stephen. He is frequently seen running around the living room playing baseball or football.

*He is becoming quite the Duplo master. He loves building houses, trucks, and cakes.

*I love his blonde curls and his cheeks. I also love how he says "hug" whenever he gives a hug. I love my sweet Paul-Paul.

3 months old!

Theresa is now 3 months old. She is such a good baby. Shortly after she turned 3 months, she decided sleep is a good thing. She will typically go down to bed around 8:30-9:00 pm and sleep until 3:00-4:00 am! She'll usually wake up again in 2 hours but I love getting to sleep! Her brothers are still her biggest fans and love to see her smile. Paul has just started calling her Theresa Rose, as opposed to just Rose.

Theresa enjoys laying under her play gym and hitting the animals. She also loves being held by Mommy and sleeping wherever Mommy lays her down. She frequently is seen with her hands behind her head. Her brothers will do that in their car seats as well. She is a big fan of her pacifier as well. We love our Theresa Rose.

What Paul's been up to

At Paul's two year appointment today, he was 27 lbs. and 35 inches tall. This is almost exactly the same as Stephen was. Stephen was 3/4" taller at his 2 year appointment. Paul is a very busy little boy. Here's a bit of what he's been up to...

Putting his bib on his head
Feeding the baby a hot dog (this was just hours before Theresa was born)

Riding bikes outside

Having a picnic with Stephen

Building with Duplos - he's getting pretty good at this.

Theresa's first three weeks

Theresa is a good baby. She only cries when she needs attention for some reason. We're adjusting to life with another little one around. She has been a busy little girl...

The boys had fun helping with her first bath on May 10.
