We used our Goldfish pool at the beginning of June. It was a little cooler than I anticipated, but we still had fun. Paul was a bit hesitant at first and then loved it. After about 20 minutes, he crawled over to me ready to warm up. Stephen refused to get in but then changed his mind and had a great time.
During February, Stephen and I took a parent-tot swim class at a nearby rec center. There were eight half-hour classes, and we were only the only ones for most of those! Stephen enjoyed being in the water. He isn't a big fan of blowing bubbles, but he isn't completely opposed to getting his face wet. His favorite part was throwing a ball or toy to swim after. This was definitely the most I have worn a swimsuit in a long time. I had fun spending some good one-on-one time with my oldest boy. We were usually a little early, so we would splash around in the zero-entry pool. Paul had fun playing in the child care. They would always tell me how happy he was. Stephen will miss getting to "splash water."
My family made their annual trek out here at the beginning of July. As usual, we had a ton of fun! It was the cousins' first time to see Paul in person. They were very excited!

Stephen decided to share his cup with Monica.
On Saturday we went to the art museum.
Stephen was very excited. :)
Sunday was Paul's baptism. That evening we had fun at the pool at the hotel where Grandma, Grandpa, and Amy were staying.
Paul made it clear that he did NOT like the water.
Stephen enjoyed kicking his feet.
He finally decided it was fun to be in the water using this float Megan brought.
On the way back home, we made a stop at a park in Greeley to see our friend Christy, her daughter Abby, and her 2-week-old son Nathaniel.
Playing with Grandpa and Emily
That looks like a long ways down!
Wheeee!!! I'm not sure if he was enjoying this or not. :)

The rest of the day was spent playing games at our house. Steve was able to take Tuesday off to join us in our fun. Our first stop was Westlands Park. We discovered this park last year, and the kids were excited to go again this year.
After playing on the playground, we ventured over to the sprayground. Stephen LOVED playing in the water. He kicked his feet and jumped up and down. Steve had fun too. Clare and Jacob enjoyed getting him wet.
Steve and Jacob have fun.
After a picnic lunch we went to the Nature and Science Museum. Stephen liked playing in the kids' area.
The next day was time for everyone to head home. Thank you for coming! We loved having you here!
Today I got out our little inflatable pool (in the shape of a Goldfish cracker). The pool is the perfect size for Mommy and baby to enjoy. Stephen seemed to enjoy playing in the water. Most of his time was spent chewing on the various toys. This is definitely a summer activity we will do again!
