6 months old
Paul is 6 months old! He is such a joyful baby. He fills our house with
the sound of his sweet giggle and he loves flashing his cute smile at
everyone he sees. Through a combination of rolling and wiggling, Paul
manages to be quite mobile. He also enjoys grabbing anything in his
reach. We’ve added rice cereal to his food repertoire. He’s still
figuring out how to swallow, but he likes the whole process. He squeals
with glee every time I give him a bite. Paul’s sleep habits aren’t the
greatest yet. I need to buckle down and try to get him on a daytime
schedule, but we’ve been on the go a lot lately. At night he’ll wake up
every 2-5 hours. Sometimes I get good sleep, sometimes I’m up a lot! I
just keep telling myself that someday I will miss this. At his 6 month
appointment today he weighed 16 lbs, 15 oz and was 24 or 25″ long. His
height is around 75% and his weight is just under 50% for his age. We
love our Paul-Paul.

Turkey fun
Stephen and I made turkeys today. If you use your imagination a bit, you might be able to see the turkey in his creation. The perfectionist in me stepped back to let him create. The blue scribbles are the turkey's eyes.

First bites
Paul had his first bites of real food today. I decided to start with avocado. He seemed to like it and got some of it down. Stephen liked watching him.

Happy 2nd birthday!
My precious little Stephen is 2 years old! I remember holding him for the first time and thinking, "He's mine!" I had always dreamed of being a mommy and now I was. I still look at him and am amazed at how blessed we are to have him as our son.
Stephen is such a fun little boy who loves running, throwing and kicking balls, singing and dancing, hugging his little brother, driving cars and trucks, and reading books. One of his new phrases is "Chairi is" which means "There it is." He's started trying to genuflect and making the Sign of the Cross. When we turn right out of our driveway, he usually says, "Jesus" because he knows that's the way to get to church. Stephen has become very proficient with his fork and spoon. He likes naming the people around him and will frequently say (while pointing to the correct person), "Mom," "Dad," "Paul," "me." He also randomly says, "papa, neenee." (Grandpa, Amy) I could probably go on, but I'll stop there for now. I'm hoping to get some random pictures and videos from the past few weeks posted soon. We have a birthday party starting soon!

Wildlife sighting
These pictures were taken on November 3 outside our house. As Stephen would say, "clee!" Not sure why that is his word for "deer."
