Stephen loves his Daddy. I love seeing his excitement when Daddy comes home from work. Stephen loves being chased and tickled by Daddy. It's so much fun to watch them play.

 On Friday we ventured out to Tiny Town. This is a place that has kid-sized buildings and a train you can ride. Stephen loved wandering around and looking in the windows. He also LOVED seeing the train and got excited every time it came around. He enjoyed getting to ride the train as well.

On Friday evening, Steve, Paul, and I attended a wedding. Stephen got to go swimming with everybody again. Saturday was go day. We're so glad you got to come visit us! We love having all of you here!

A step in the right direction

Just for fun, I decided to put Stephen on the toilet when I changed his diaper yesterday afternoon. He didn't want to be on there at first; however, as I sang "Itsy Bitsy Spider," he went potty in the toilet!! I, of course, made a big deal about it. I don't think he's ready to be potty trained yet, but maybe this will spark some interest. I would definitely be okay with only having one in diapers. :)

Family time 2012 - Day 7

On Thursday we went to a trail just outside of town. It was a pretty warm day, but the kids were quite the troopers. This is the same trail where Steve and I saw bighorn sheep a couple years ago, so we were hoping to see some more. Unfortunately, they were nowhere to be seen. We had a nice picnic lunch at a table along the trail.

We headed for the air conditioned comforts of a local mall on Tuesday morning.

 Stephen helped me bring the trash can back down the driveway that evening.

 On Wednesday morning we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's pool for more swimming. Stephen was not as fond of it this time. He was okay as long as I was holding him. Then we went home for naps. We wanted the kiddos to be well rested for our photo shoot later that afternoon. They did a great job! Stephen was upset at first when we tried doing the kids' picture, but he finally calmed down.

After pictures we headed out for our annual pizza dinner. Gotta love pictures of people eating! Thanks, Megan!

Family time 2012 - Day 4

On Monday we headed to a library to see author Eric Littwin give a presentation. He was a very entertaining guitar player and singer. We got a copy of his book "Pete the Cat Loves His White Shoes" autographed.

After naps, we headed to a nearby park.

 We celebrated Clare's 7th birthday on Monday evening. Even though her birthday is at the end of May, she wanted to wait to have her birthday party in Colorado so I could be there.
