Go Rockies!

We went to our annual Rockies vs. Reds game with our Montana friends, Doc and Kathie. The boys enjoyed the game and were very good.

Chugga-chugga-choo-choo!

The boys and I went on an adventure to a local train store, Caboose Hobbies, one of the largest model train stores in the world. As soon as we walked in, there was a train table. The boys would have stayed there all day if I would have let them. We did walk around and look at all of the model train "stuff" they had. Definitely somewhere we will go again. When we got home, we brought up the tub of Geotrax trains that we had been given by a friend when Stephen was a baby. Both boys were very excited and had a great time.

Saint friends

I did a saint peg doll exchange with some friends. The boys love their new saint friends! The dolls are safely on top of the piano where they can be seen but not banged around. :)

A family hike

We headed up to Mt. Falcon for some family fun. Stephen loved picking up rocks and putting them in his pocket as he walked. There were some threatening clouds, so we headed back down and hung out in the picnic shelter. Stephen had fun climbing on the rocks and chasing the crows.

Goodbye, old friend!

I bought my beloved Saturn Ion brand-new on August 9, 2003 with about 65 miles on it. It now had 112,000 miles and had been a great "friend." We made MANY trips between Lincoln and Denver together. But now it was time to part ways. I hadn't been driving it, and it needed a bit of work to make it more reliable. We listed it on Craigslist on Friday evening and had it sold by Sunday evening. It was a bittersweet goodbye.
