18 months old

When Stephen gets something he knows he shouldn't have (i.e. my iPod), he usually runs to a corner to hide. :)
Wow! 18 months old! Stephen is no longer my baby boy but my big toddler boy. That fact will hit home even more once we bring baby #2 home. He is quite a talker and carries on conversations with us all the time. Unfortunately, we usually have no idea what he is saying. :) Here's some new words he's added:
*Alleluia - will repeat it if we say it
*Grandpa - says this for both Grandma and Grandpa
*cup and up - He "rolls" the "p" at the end of both words which is really cute.
*thank you - says "kee koo" and signs
*cookie - sounds a lot like "thank you"
       *diaper
*knows the sounds a snake and owl make

I love how he calls us "mom" and "dad." Sometimes he'll look back and forth between us and say, "mom," "dad," "mom," "dad." He's also started saying "mo-om" in the morning when he's ready to get up. This is after he says "all done." :) His favorite books right now are "Is Your Mama a Llama?" and the Bright Baby series - First 100 Animals, First 100 Machines, First 100 Words.

Stephen had his 18-month appointment today. He did a great job, except when it was time to look in his mouth. He was very insistent on keeping his mouth closed. He only had to get 2 shots and recovered fairly quickly from them. He is now 22 lbs which puts him in the 7% and 33" tall which is the 72%. So I think I'll start calling him my "string bean" instead of my "sweet pea." :)
